Næstesang by Kris
Music Video, United Stage / Records, April 2024
about
Recorded in an empty lakeside villa north of Copenhagen. We filled the space with thrifted furniture, paintings covered in plastic and lit up the space with candles and old lamps.

Directed, shot and edited independently. We wanted to capture the feeling of driving through the Danish countryside in an old vintage car. Although we originally planned for a sunny day, it ended up raining, which actually worked out much better for the final mood of the video.

Landscapes picked up on the way to and from other work, 2021 to 2023. A fjord going pink, cloud sitting on a peak, a road with nobody on it — none of them the reason for the trip.

After finishing a supporting tour for Shawn Mendes, which ended in Lisbon, we decided to spend a few days exploring the backdrop of MARO's childhood. The essence of the entire album was built on the beaches and streets we spent those days rediscovering.
